which one is right for me?
heya, partner.
let's work together.
heya, partner. let's work together.
in short, here are the main differences:
project basis, you’ll receive 2 rounds of revisions, and more time can be purchased on an ad-hoc basis, subject to availability.
retainer packages require a 3 month minimum contract, include as many projects and as many revisions needed for a set monthly fee. think subscription but for design services.
because this option provides more consistency & more reliable income for me, this option allows you to get more and save more.
what’s included in a retainer package
based on your needs, I will dedicate a certain amount of hours consistently each week to design engaging sales enablement materials and visuals for marketing initiatives to support, elevate, and grow your business–this can be whatever design tasks you brief me on. the time bought includes as many rounds of amends as required.
investing in your business in this way can give you hours of your time back so you can do the work you truly want to do.

is a graphic design retainer right for my business?
-
a graphic design retainer contract is a formal agreement between a designer & a business, outlining the scope of design services provided over a specific period.
this ensures that you have dedicated resources for ongoing design work, and it is designed to offer flexibility & consistency for businesses looking for long-term design support.
-
the duration of the agreement can vary based on the scope of work & your business requirements.
retainers require a minimum of 3 months at a time, ensuring stability & long-term collaboration.
businesses that commit to longer-term graphic design retainer contracts receive a discounted rate. the longer the agreement, the more flexibility and cost savings I can provide.
-
a notice period of 30 days is required.
if you’re unsure about the commitment, we can discuss shorter-term agreements to help you assess our partnership before signing a longer-term contract.
-
you’ll pay a discounted rate compared to my normal hourly rate
receive professional design without the overhead costs of an employee
ensures your brand looks dynamic, elevated, and cohesive across all digital touch points & print materials.
ongoing access to a trusted design expert & high-quality designs for new campaigns, updates, or ad-hoc projects that align with your brand’s vision.
you’ll gain a long-term relationship with a designer who knows your brand, ensuring consistent & reliable work. hiring a freelancer for each project means starting from scratch, which can take more time for onboarding & result in inconsistent quality.
-
unused hours expire at the end of the week. this is to ensure that we can allocate time for your projects each week and plan the workload with intention. this also allows me the ability to plan for my own life and maintain work-life balance.
-
the monthly fee can vary widely depending on the primary needs, intentions, and goals of your business.
you may want 18 hours of design services per week for a set fee toward routine maintenance while others may want 8 hours per month for more extensive services.
we will work together to tailor the package to your needs, finding an agreement that is mutually beneficial.
-
additional costs like stock photography, fonts, subscriptions, AI usage/assets
social media management i.e. posting content, engagement, etc.
